Volunteer Opportunities

Dragonflight is a convention run by gamers for gamers. It’s an all-volunteer operation so if you see something happening at the convention, volunteers can be given the credit. You too can help make your convention a success.

Some volunteer positions require special skills and do most of their work before the con -- like the people who set up the registration and ticketing computers, kiosks and networks. Some require enthusiasm and a friendly face, like the people who hand out T-shirts and convention programs. Some require attention to detail, like the people who track sales at our Auction. In some positions you just move stuff from here to there. Please contact the volunteer coordinator to see how you can fit in.

Even if you don't have time to help out this year you might consider shadowing one of our experienced volunteers for an hour or two. By sticking with them you can see how they do their job and think about volunteering next year. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator for more info.

Rewards

As a little thank-you to our volunteers we hold a raffle at the end of the convention and hand out prizes. You get one raffle ticket for each time block you work. Put your name on your tickets and place them in one of the raffle boxes at the registration desk.

In addition, if you work 4 time blocks (10 hours) you get your admission refunded.
If you work 8 time blocks (20 hours) you get a free t-shirt and your admission refunded.

After working your time blocks it's your job to get a signature from the staff manager of your area in order to claim your refund.
