Board of Directors
Dragonflight is governed by a board of five directors elected by the membership. Each director serves a three year term, and we hold elections at the annual convention each year for one or two seats.

The Board meets five times per year: four quarterly board meetings and the annual membership meeting. The quarterly meetings are the Board's opportunity to review the state of Dragonflight's various projects and consider new projects. The annual membership meeting is the Board's opportunity to present this same information to our membership, and invite comments. While the quarterly meetings are open to Dragonflight members, the annual meeting is the time we most encourage member participation.

The schedule for quarterly meetings is determined annually. While we try to post the schedule publicly, the actual schedule hasn't changed in several years: 10 AM, second Saturday, first month of each quarter, at Metro Seattle Gamers. The annual meeting is held during the convention. We try to hold it during a time when there is less gaming going on, but some years that's not always easy.

The schedule for 2011 is:
  • January 8 Board Meeting, MSG, 10AM
  • April 9, Board Meeting, MSG, 10AM
  • July 9, Board Meeting, MSG, 10AM
  • August 12, Membership Meeting, Bellevue Hilton (Probably 6PM)
  • October 8, Board Meeting, MSG, 10AM

For more information, please contact our Chairman of the Board or President.

New Directors for 2011
We held the annual election for Directors at the last convention. The Board reviewed and approved the result at the October meeting. Two terms were expiring, those of Ken Cassady and John Poole. Directors for the new term (January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013) Are Ken Cassady and Ralph Shelton.

Duties of a Director

The Board of Directors oversees all Dragonflight activities. Individual directors participate in this process through quarterly meetings and via email. Additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the Chairman. attend scheduled meetings and participate in the process. Directors are required to be members of Dragonflight for the duration of their term; failure to remain a member in good standing automatically terminated your directorship.
